Postcard is a journal small enough to keep up with. Write one short card a day, 300 characters by default, and your past cards come back to you on the home screen.

Coming soon to the App Store for iPhone and iPad.

Features

One card a day

A short limit makes it easy to start and easy to finish. Today’s card stays editable all day, and anything you’ve typed is kept if you get interrupted.

Past cards come back

Each day the home screen brings back one of your earlier cards: this date in an earlier year when there is one, otherwise another from your past.

All your cards in one place

Every card is listed by month, ready to open and read again.

A gentle reminder

Pick a time for an optional daily reminder. It’s off until you turn it on.

Your cards on all your devices

Your cards sync through your own iCloud account. There’s nothing to sign up for, and we can’t see what you write.

Export anytime

Save all your cards as a plain text file from Settings, free, whenever you like.

Pricing

Postcard is free, including the daily card, reminders, past cards coming back, sync and export. You’ll never be locked out of your own cards.

Postcard Extras is a one-time $4.99 purchase with no subscription. It adds photos on your cards (your first three are free) and longer cards, up to 2,000 characters, along with whatever comes next.

To restore Postcard Extras on a new device, go to Settings, tap Postcard Extras, then tap “Restore Purchase”.

Common questions

Where are my cards stored?
On your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account. Moon Labs can’t see them.

My cards aren’t showing up on my other device.
Make sure both devices are signed in to the same Apple account with iCloud turned on, and give them a little time to catch up.

Can I edit an old card?
Today’s card can be edited all day. Past cards are read-only, though you can delete one from its menu.

What happens if I go over the limit?
Nothing is cut off. Your text stays, and you can save once it’s back under the limit.

“Your journal didn’t open” appeared.
Nothing has been deleted. Free up some storage if your device is nearly full, then tap Try Again. If it keeps happening, email us and we’ll help.
